Performance

Simple Fun

The 2019 ILX is perfect for zipping around the streets of Nashville or taking control of the fast lane on I65. The ILX boasts an impressive power-to-weight ratio, which means for its size, it is one of the most powerful vehicles in its class. Driven by a naturally aspirated, 2.4 liter I4 and mated to a racing-inspired eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, this powerplant generates 201-hp and 180-lb-ft of torque. This combination delivers a faster, smoother, and more exhilarating ride than ever before! Recently graduated or going to soon? Under the Hood

engine produces 201-hp and 180 lb-ft of torque for immediate throttle response. Intelligent Variable Timing and Lift Control (i-VTEC) increase available horsepower by opening the intake valves longer and deeper at 4,500 rpm and above. Plenty of power to speed around Nashville, but hopefully not enough to buy you too many tickets!

8-Speed Dual-Clutch Transmission

Designed in-house at Acura to compliment the ILX engine, the 8-speed DCT provides a smooth and fast shifting experience that’s more efficient than a traditional automatic transmission. How does it achieve manual transmission like performance? Simple, two clutches. One clutch is dedicated for odd-numbered gears and the other for even gears. While one clutch is engaged for the current gear, sensors predict upshifts and downshifts making the transmission feel far more responsive.

Vehicle Stability Assist

This feature works in combination with the ILX’s antilock brakes to reduce the risk of over-or understeering. By monitoring speed, lateral G-forces, and other specs, this system can sense if the torque needs to be adjusted and applies braking to individual wheels automatically. This keeps the ILX stable at speeds and in inclement weather conditions. Rain, snow, or sleet, the 2019 ILX delivers sports inspired performance!

Safety

360 Degrees of Protection

Precision crafted means more than just performance. The 2019 ILX received the highest overall safety rating from the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHSTA). All ILX trim level comes standard for 2019 with AcuraWatch, a system that bundles features like forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control designed to maximize occupant safety.

 

ACE Body Structure

The Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure is designed to keep all occupants safe in a crash. Crumple zones help to direct damage away from passengers, and the entire frame is designed to distribute crash forces evenly.

Lane Keeping Assist

The forward-facing camera of the AcuraWatch Plus system helps to keep track of lane position. If you begin to drift out of the lane without first using the turn signal, the system gently nudges the steering wheel to center you in your lane.

Collision Mitigation Braking

The AcuraWatch Plus suite uses a radar transmitter as well as a front-facing camera to detect the likelihood of a collision and alerts you, and can engage the Collision Mitigating Braking system to begin slowing you down if you don’t respond quickly enough.

The 2019 ILX stands out from the crowd with stunning lines, Acura’s signature Diamond Pentagon Grill front and center, Acura’s Jewel Eye headlights, and a sharply sculpted hood. The body panels are creased for better wind coefficient, and the exterior color palette expands with five new colors including Platinum White Pearl, Majestic Black Pearl, Performance Red Pearl, Canyon Bronze Metallic, and an exclusive A-SPEC Apex Blue Pearl.

Jewel Eye LED Headlights

Jewel Eye LED headlights give this luxury sedan the distinctive look of an Acura. With five LEDs per light, the ILX broadcasts a brighter and wider beam than traditional headlights, while also using less energy than halogen or HID bulbs.
