The standard TLX engine is anything but standard. The aluminum block direct-injected 2.4-liter inline-4 powerplant delivers 206 high-revving horsepower at 6800 rpm, 182 lb. ft. of torque at 4500 rpm (both SAE net). Its light weight helps make handling nimble and sips rather than gulps fuel for a 33 MPG highway rating.
Intelligent engineering is the name of the game with Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system. It interacts with sensors to monitor the activity of each wheel. The system then adjusts power and braking to each wheel as it sees fit to maximize traction. While this SH-AWD shines in adverse weather conditions, the benefits are also evident through corners as it combats weight shifting to provide neutral handling and control.
The optional – and exceptional – engine choice for the TLX is a highly potent 3.5-liter, 290-horsepower V-6 engine (@ 6200 rpm, SAE net) with direct fuel injection, Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) and an i-VTEC system.
The TLX is equipped with four different driving modes that range from fuel efficient to unbridled performance. Econ mode decreases throttle sensitivity to increase mpg. Normal mode is a balance of comfort and performance for everyday driving. Sport mode increases responsiveness and tightens up the suspension. Sport+ mode maximizes power, responsiveness, and activates the paddle shifters for manual gear selecting.
Low tire pressure not only compromises a vehicle’s handling, but it can also reduce gas mileage. The innovative Tire Fill Assist feature on the 2020 TLX monitors tire pressure and alerts you when tires have dipped below the suggested pounds per square inch or PSI. The system will steadily beep as you inflate the tire with air, switching to a rapid beep once you’ve reached the recommended PSI– no tire pressure gauge required.
Handling is significantly improved on front wheel drive TLX models thanks, Precision All-Wheel Steer, which adjusts the toe angle of the rear wheels. This adjustment turns the rear wheels in the opposite direction of the steering wheel, increasing turn-in response and improving stability.
One of the most stunning features of a face are the eyes, which is why Acura has fitted the TLX with a pair that are easy to love. Acura’s signature Jewel Eye LED headlights are sophisticatedly aggressive, while also providing a powerful white beam of light for illuminating the road ahead.
The available A-Spec Package underscores the sport performance of TLX. Adding to the dramatic stance are round LED fog lights, a dark chrome finish trim, exposed rounded dual exhaust outlets, and a gloss black decklid spoiler.
Complete your TLX with a premium paint finish which is applied in a series of tinted clear coats for incomparable chromatic color and bottomless layered depths. The 2020 TLX welcomes four new paint colors: Performance Red Pearl, Majestic Black Pearl, Canyon Bronze Metallic and an A-Spec exclusive Apex Blue Pearl

The A-Spec Package celebrates the sport performance of TLX. Inside, the exclusive NSX-inspired red leather or black Alcantara-trimmed interiors are complemented by a black headliner, contrast stitching, red LED ambient lighting, brushed-aluminum metal-look trim, and deeply bolstered sport seats.
The TLX creates harmony inside of the cabin with Active Sound Control technology. Functioning much like noise-cancelling headphones, it emits opposing frequencies that cancel out both outside and mechanical noise. Sound reduction goes even further with the use of an acoustic glass windshield to reduce wind and road noise, while specially designed engine mounts reduce vibration and noise.

Engineered for safety, the 2020 TLX utilizes the Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure which is designed to minimize the crash force impact transferred to occupants during an accident. Energy is dispersed throughout the front engine bay portion of the TLX in the event of a frontal crash, while the brunt force is absorbed through the body structure, significantly minimizing the energy transferred to the cabin.
Acura’s Vehicle Stability Assist acts as a second set of hands and feet. It monitors both the direction in which the vehicle is traveling and the position of the steering wheel. If the two don’t agree with each other, the system will automatically adjust vehicle speed, throttle position, and other factors allowing the car to regain traction and situate itself back on the desired driving line.
The 2020 TLX Technology package wouldn’t be complete without the Blind Spot Information System. This feature shines during the daily commute on the congested roadways of Nashville, where sometimes quick maneuvers must be made to keep with the pace of traffic. The Blind Spot Information System monitors the sides of your TLX and will alert you via a beep, pillar mounted indicator, and on the Multi-Information Display Screen if a vehicle is in your blind spot when you prepare to make a lane change.
Gain awareness of vehicles detected approaching from either side when backing up. Sound and arrow indicators will alert you when an approaching vehicle is detected via the Multi-View Rear Camera, included in the Technology Package.

I bought my Acura MDX in 2012, and for the past 8+ years, I have had its service done at Gary Force Acura. Eight years, and every single time they've been professional and courteous. I always request a loaner car, and it's there and clean and ready to go. They keep me updated during the service, and they don't suggest unnecessary services. My car is running just as good now as it did when it was brand new. My next car will be another Acura from Gary Force.

This would have been an Excellent experience but one of the reason for my Visit was finding a replacement Light Cover for the interior driver side door. They completely forgot to address that and focused on the more costly services. The Dealership is far from me so one wants to maximize every visit. Had my car serviced yesterday and the process could not have been easier. The whole process was very smooth. An agent greeted me upon arrival, was ready to take my car for service, provided me with a loaner. I received an update via text (my preference) regarding the time my car would be ready for pickup. I returned the loaner after work and received my car, with details regarding my service. My car received the planned service, plus was clean after a wash and vacuum. Thanks for excellent service!
